• Scored on correct adjacent pairs: 1 point per correctly ordered adjacent pair — you don't need the whole order right to score

1. 1Find the opening sentence first: it usually introduces the topic, gives a definition or background, and has no pronoun referring back to earlier content
2. 2Then find the closing sentence: usually summarizing in tone or echoing the opening
3. 3Use pronouns (it / this / they), connectors (however / therefore) and time cues to find adjacent relationships, rather than memorizing the whole logic
4. 4Remember it's scored on adjacent pairs — even if you can't get the full order right, getting local relationships right still earns partial marks

• Spending too long on one item and running short on time later
